THE BLUE LAGOON
The Blue Lagoon is known for its special properties and its beneficial effect on the skin, that is why it attracts visitors from all over the world in search of health, relaxation and an exotic experience. Our journey leads through rugged lava fields to the Blue Lagoon, a unique natural pool of mineral rich geothermal water located in the middle of a lava field in the pure, beautiful Icelandic wilderness. We stop for a refreshing bath or swim in the pleasantly warm mineral-rich water, reputed for its healing properties. After approx. 2 hours stop we return back to Reykjavík or Keflavík airport. 4 hours. *Bathing fee and visitors fee in the Blue Lagoon is not included in the price. Age limit is 2 years. It is very important to book your Blue Lagoon entrance and timing in advance as it can be sold out during peak hours.
THE GOLDEN CIRCLE
If you only take one guided tour while you are in Iceland, then it has to be the Golden Circle. Combining natural and historical wonders, you‘ll experience Iceland‘s landmark attractions in one incredible day: the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall, the exploding hot springs of Geysir, and Þingvellir national park, site of the Viking parliament and over 1000 years of history. The highlights of this tour are Thingvellir National Park, a remarkable historical and geological site, which is located near the Lake Thingvallavatn, the largest lake in Iceland. The beautiful canyon running through the park is actually the meeting point of two of the earth’s tectonic plates. Furthermore, in this area the oldest form of parliament had met since 930. Gullfoss, a two tiered waterfall where you will see thousands of tons of icy water thunder majestically down into a deep canyon. Geysir geothermal area where bubbling hot springs and geysers are abundant. Here you’ll find Strokkur, the most active geyser in the area, spouting up to 25-30 meters every few minutes. 8 hours.
SOUTH SHORE ADVENTURE
During this tour there is the opportunity to stand behind a plummeting waterfall, walk along a beach of black sand, gaze at a natural rock formation and feel the amazing power of glacier (if road conditions allow). Drive along the south coast of Iceland, one of the country’s most scenic regions, as far as Vik, a charming village surrounded by beautiful high bird cliffs. Along the way we stop at the gorgeous Seljalandsfoss waterfall, were you can walk behind it and through to the other side. We also stop at the majestic and much-photographed Skogafoss waterfall, with its 60-metre drop, and visit the Skogar folk museum, to get a taste of how Icelanders lived in centuries past. Other highlights include views of the stunning Myrdalsjokull glacier, the black sand coastline and the impressive Reynisdrangar rock formations. 10 hours.
